THE MUSIC: DIRECTOR'S NOTES |
![]() |
![]() BUENA Performed by MORPHINE Written by MARK SANDMAN This is the first source cue in the film, the bar music as Roz slips into the Formosa Cafe in Hollywood after her attack in the alley. The deep bassy track is the perfect dark setting for the Roz's world. Morphine is a rarity -- a bluesy, bare bones rock & roll without any guitars. Instead of guitar riffs, the trio relies on sliding two-string bass lines, raucous saxophones and wry, ironically detached vocals. Morphine was formed in 1990 by bassist/vocalist Mark Sandman. ![]() |
