JAZZ BERCEUSE

Performed by
JIM CULLUM JAZZ BAND

Written by
FRÉDERIC CHOPIN (OP. 57)

Arranged by
JOHN SHERIDAN

This is a fascinating jazz arrangement of the Chopin piano piece that is the main inspiration for the film. This number is played at a party for Fletcher and Roz by Fletcher's grandmother, Ida -- a retired jazz tuba player. The tuba tracks were recorded by Sam Pilafian, former star of the Empire Brass Quintet and one of the best to ever play the instrument. John Sheridan was commissioned by the film to write this special arrangement (it seems that not too many jazz bands play Chopin) and he did so with his usual imagination, innovation and style. -SB-
